Snowdrift was exactly what we had wanted and expected--a manageable sized house (for 2 people), right on the beach, with not too many stairs. We were very pleased. We were also very pleased with the responsiveness of the ORR staff who arranged for us to enter the house a little early and depart an hour late. We were especially pleased with staff's response to our beach service (which we had been told would be available, but when we arrived, there was a glitch). One ORR representative recommended Chef Jekyll, a personal chef, who we employed for our 20th anniversary dinner. He was TERRIFIC--a wonderful recommendation. Thank you. We appreciated the grill and the tank of propane, as well as the full sized washer and dryer. The only area we would have like to have been done
better had to do with how the house was provisioned: there were no basic staples available in the house--no salt/pepper, sugar, saran/aluminum foil (which have always been available in other homes we have rented). There was no hair dryer (yes, you did indicate this on the website, but we couldn't believe it wouldn't actually be there). There were no things to use on the beach (e.g. beach towels, chairs, floats/boards). The quality of the pots and pans, silverware and dish/glassware could have been higher. (The ice machine, however, was a definite 'plus' and the toaster oven was appreciated.) We also expected that the house would have menus for local restaurants and flyers of local attractions and businesses, as well as some basic games and videos. Our overall experience was a wonderful week. Thank you.
